Do you homeschool?

Homeschooling is more popular today than it was ten years ago.  Parents choose homeschooling for many reasons.  It could be to meet a child’s particular needs, because of location or even because traditional schooling does not offer the subjects that their child needs.

Coming up with stimulating yet educational activities can be the hardest part of homeschooling.  If that has been your main challenge then have a look at Soft Schools.  It has activities to cover grades from pre-school through to Grade 6.  The site is American so the spelling is different, but the activities are well worth looking at.

In particular, have a look at the maths games and quizzes.  They cover addition, subtraction, prime numbers, geometry, fractions, telling the time and much more.  Try the Roman Numerals game.  It allows you to set your parameters and then creates an online test.  Just set your kids up at the computer and they can test themselves.

There are lots more educational games and quizzes on the site.  If you are looking for an activity to help drive home those new concepts then these will be a great help to you.
